School Rules
SCHOOL RULES
The following school rules and regulations are put in place to develop good behaviour and good attitude among pupils.
All pupils are expected to:

Be punctual for school and all school activities.

Hand in all assignments on time.

Be responsible for their own personal tidiness and dress smartly.

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform and modifications to the uniform is not allowed.

Be responsible for the cleanliness of their classroom and the school compound.

Respect school property and the property of others.
-
Participate fully in the flag raising/lowering & pledge taking ceremonies. (Students who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Pupils will take the pledge with the right fist place over their heart).

Be quiet and move around the school premises in an orderly manner at all times. No running along the corridor is allowed.

All students are not allowed to wear any jewellery or accessories to school.

Obey and respect teachers, support staff, parent volunteers, class leaders, student leaders and the elders.

Switch off the lights and fans and close the doors when leaving the classroom for recess/dismissal.
-
Ask for permission before leaving the classroom. Students must obtain an Errand/Toilet Tag from the teacher before leaving the classroom for any reason.

Stay within the school compound during curriculum as well as remedial lessons and CCAs on school days.

Refrain from fighting.

Use proper language at all times. Students are not allowed to use vulgarities or insulting /humiliating/embarrassing and/or abusive words.

Behave well and be courteous within and outside the school premises.
Prohibited Items

All pupils are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring weapon-like items or items which are banned by State, prohibited for use in school and/or cause nuisance or disruption to other students or teachers and items which are used or intended to be used to cause harm to others. Items that can be confiscated include:

combs with pointed ends
-
knives (including penknives)
-
lighter
-
laser pointer
-
magic cards and all other playing cards
-
mobile phones (if seen or heard)
-
electronic toys/ soft toys
-
music players
-
cigarettes
-
substances that can be abused
-
chewing gum
-
accessories that are not part of the school uniform, if worn e.g: bandannas, nose studs

Parents/guardians will be called to collect the confiscated items from the school. All confiscated items will be handed over to the parents after they have signed an acknowledgement letter of the child irresponsible behaviour.
Mobile phone Policy (2025)

Students are not to use mobile phones during school hours, including recess, CCA, and after-school programmes (e.g. supplementary/enrichment/remedial lessons).

Students who bring mobile phones are to put them in their school bags / pockets before school start time. They can retrieve the devices after school ends. Students should bear responsibility for safekeeping of devices.
Additional Guidelines:
While the school strongly encourages students to use the school's phone in the General Office for contacting parents in case of an emergency, students may bring a mobile phone if absolutely necessary.
However, students and parents must be aware of the following rules:

Responsibility: Students are fully responsible for the security of their mobile phones. The school will not be held liable for any lost or stolen phones due to negligence, carelessness, or theft.

Device Handling: Mobile phones must be switched off and stored out of sight in the student’s school bag / pocket throughout school hours.

Restricted Usage: Students are prohibited from using their phones for playing games, accessing the internet, or taking photos and videos within the school premises at any time.

Disciplinary Action: If a student is found using a mobile phone during curriculum time, CCA, recess, or any other school-related activities, the phone (including the SIM card) will be confiscated. The device can only be retrieved by a parent or guardian. Repeated offences will result in further disciplinary actions.

The school reserves the right to access the phone’s contents (in the presence of the student and members of the Pupil Management team) if there is a suspicion of misuse or involvement in a disciplinary issue.
Examination Protocol:
-
For national exams (e.g., PSLE), students must hand over their mobile phones to the examination team for safekeeping.
-
For internal school exams and weighted assessments, students must keep their phones switched off and securely stored in their school bags.
-
Any student found in possession of a mobile phone during any exam will be deemed as having the intention to cheat and will be dealt with according to the examination rules.
Smartwatch Policy (2025)

Students are not to use smartwatches^ during school hours, including recess, CCA, and after-school programmes (e.g. supplementary/enrichment/remedial lessons).

Students who bring smartwatches are to put them in their school bags / pockets before school start time. They can retrieve the devices after school ends. Students should bear responsibility for safekeeping of devices.
Additional Guidelines:
Students are allowed to wear basic GPS trackers or fitness trackers that have step, heart rate, and blood oxygen monitoring functions only. Smartwatches with communication, photo-taking, or recording capabilities are strictly prohibited. Please take note of the following guidelines:

Restricted Usage: Using smartwatches to play games, access the internet, take photos, record videos, or access any form of communication is strictly prohibited on school grounds.
