Head Prefect Election 2024
Head Prefect Election 2024 - Shaping Our Leaders
The annual Head Prefect Election is a significant event at Bendemeer Primary School, where we focus on shaping a leader who will guide and inspire our student body. This process not only fosters leadership skills among students but also promotes active engagement within our school community. The Head Prefect, along with other student leaders, are entrusted with important responsibilities such as:
-
Assisting with school programs and activities throughout the academic year
-
Representing BPS and being a good host for visitors
-
Supporting younger students and fellow student leaders
This year, the journey to shaping our new Head Prefect began with the 2023/2024 EXCO Prefect Handover Ceremony on 29 July 2024. Following this, three candidates were introduced to the school, each delivering heartfelt speeches outlining their goals and vision if elected.
The candidates then engaged with their peers during recess over two days, running creative canvassing campaigns to earn the votes of their fellow schoolmates.
After the enthusiastic participation, the votes were cast, and the results were eagerly awaited. Finally, on 2 August 2024, we proudly announced that Insiyah Hozefa Shakir of class P5-Adaptability has been chosen as the new Head Prefect for 2024/2025!
Congratulations to Insiyah! Her vision, dedication, and leadership truly stood out during this election, and we are excited to see the positive impact she will have on our school community.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the candidates for their hard work, creativity, and brilliant ideas, as well as to everyone who participated in the election process. Together, we will continue to make Bendemeer Primary an even better place for everyone.
